Baltimore, Maryland, Baltimore and Calvert Streets, c1920

In 1919, U.S. Woolen Mills Co. completed negotiations to lease the former Pennsylvania Railroad Building on the corner of Baltimore and Calvert streets. Originally built following the Great Fire of 1904 as the railroad�s administrative offices, the building was designed by Parker & Thomas, the primary architects of Baltimore's Beaux-Arts commercial structures in the early 20th century.
