Boston, Massachusetts, Looking Up Park Street, c1906

The charming Park Street was laid out in 1804, originally named Park Place. It descends from Beacon Hill, at the foot of the Massachusetts State House, and runs along Boston Common until it meets with Tremont Street. The small street has born witness to centuries of Bostons history, and itself played an important role in the citys literary history, once home to both Womens Journal and Houghton Mifflin.
