The Cincinnati Country Club opened in the neighborhood of Hyde Park on July 4, 1903, adjacent to the Cincinnati Golf Club. According to the Commercial Tribune, members of high society, festooned in fineries, arrived at the grand opening in their own carriages or via larger carryalls, which shuttled partygoers from the nearby corner of Grandin and Madison roads.
