Bull Street was a central street of James Oglethorpe’s original city plan for
Savannah, which was distinctive for its patterns of connected neighborhoods
and public squares. It developed as one of the major mixed-use thoroughfares
in the downtown core, initiating at City Hall and housing retail shops and
hotels alongside institutions like the National Bank of Savannah.
