New Hampshire, Golf at Bethlehem Country Club, c1910

Four years after the 1894 formation of what would become the United States Professional Golf Association, the Bethlehem Country Club opened a 9-hole course marketed to wealthy tourists staying in any of the areas opulent hotels. As the game caught on with the public, the club hired an architect to expand the course to 18 holes. The renovated course was first played in 1910.
